Cllr Jean Calvert: Annual Report 2012/13

This year was my second year as a Cabinet Member and my portfolio is Wellbeing and Communities. This is a particularly rewarding portfolio which covers Adult Services, Communities, Health and Leisure Services.

As a ward councillor, my priority is to represent every corner of the ward and I try to attend as many local community groups as possible. These are just a small number of the local groups who I’m involved with:

• Fresh Horizons
• Neighbourhood Management Group

I have helped numerous constituents through the year with advice and appropriate help when it has been called for. I have attended public meetings in Fixby, Bradley, Fartown and Sheepridge over various issues.
