RATE RISE HIGHER UNDER TORIES
Though we usually leave the pedantry to Martyn Bolt, to be totally
accurate the Conservatives proposed a higher rate rise this year than the
Labour Group.
The result of the conservative gamble on the growth in
Business Rates would have meant that the 1% they DELAYED would have been higher
than if they had not delayed it, as 1% would have been added to this year’s 5%
rise.
