Whatever your political leaning, to exist as a strong democracy we need as many people to get out and register to vote as possible; then use that vote when the time comes!
Kirklees Council Electoral Services are running an event on Wednesday, 5th February throughout Kirklees to encourage you to do exactly this.
As part of their work around engagement and maximising electoral registration, they have organised to support the campaign 'Bite the Ballot'. Staff will be in various locations around Kirklees throughout that day.
The locations and times are as follows:
• Outside Huddersfield Bus Station from 8.30am to 4.30pm – mobile youth hub vehicle provided by the youth service.
• Outside Huddersfield University from 8.30am to 4.30pm - mobile youth hub vehicle provided again by the youth service and supported by the student union and some of the political students.
