Firthcliffe Community Clean-up - a big thank you to KNH
A great morning on Firthcliife clean up day. A big thank you to KNH for arranging all the services to facilitate the clean up.
The residents got involved to make their community better.
A lesson to Cameron. People want to look after themselves but they need the means to do this. Well done Kirklees.

Firthcliffe TRA: A great example of a community pulling together
I attended a great meeting of the Firthcliffe Tenants and Residents Association yesterday. It was good to see local people taking action for their community.
There is a clean up day on Firthcliffe Estate on Tuesday 11th March at 9.00am Firthcliffe Parade. Please come and get involved with you local community.
The Tory led coalition is trying to kill communities but Firthcliffe is a great example of what can be achieved by local people.
There is also a social meet for Liversedge & Gomersal Labour Party at the Bulls Head, Gomersal at 7pm on the 11th March. All welcome and a great pint!!
We hope to see you there.

The Cost of Cameron: Calling all Liversedge & Gomersal Ward residents
Are you struggling to pay your mortgage, energy bills and food bills? Whether you live in Gomersal, Robertown, Hertshead, Windybank or Firthcliffe. Every walk of life is being attacked by the present Tory led coalition.
Labour led Kirklees Council is working hard to limit the damage of Eric Pickles’ disproportionate attack on local councils.
Labour will abolish the bedroom tax, freeze energy prices, increase child care provision and reverse the devastating attempts of the Tory led coalition to privatise the National Health Service.
All the Tory led coalition policies attack the most vulnerable but also the hardworking majority that are struggling with low wages and zero hours contracts.
If you want a voice come and meet your Labour team, Cllr Simon Alvy and Labour candidate Catherine Pinder, at the Bulls Head Gomersal on 4th March 2014 at 7pm.
