Barry asks questions about road spending

"I have tabled the following questions to the Secretary of State for Transport regarding roads in Kirklees." - Barry Sheerman MP

  • To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what his department’s assessment is of the cost of urgent road repairs in i) Huddersfield; ii) Kirklees and iii) Yorkshire?

  • To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment his department has made of the balance of investment in road infrastructure between central Government and local Government in i) Huddersfield; ii) Kirklees and iii) Yorkshire?

  • To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment his department has made of the activity of the Highways Agency in i) Huddersfield; ii) Kirklees and iii) Yorkshire and if he will make a statement?

Thanks, Barry, we will wait for the answer. It is great to see a Local MP taking the fight to Westminster where the decisions that affect our constituents are made. Let us hope that next year we will see three new Labour MP's playing a full parliamentary role in ensuring Kirklees is not forgotten.
