Shops
sell acid to teens, no questions asked
A
joint investigation by the Sunday Times and local Trading Standards in Hackney
has revealed that children as young as 15 are able to buy corrosive liquids
that have been used in a string of acid attacks. Hackney Council has warned
local businesses not to sell to anyone under the age of 21 following a spate of
acid attacks, with teenagers usually responsible. Philip Glanville, Mayor of
Hackney, said ministers needed to “urgently” change the law to tackle the
problem.
This was a "regulation" scrapped by the government in their pursuit of a Capitalist Utopia free of regulations.
