Over the last 5 years, we’ve improved
educational attainment year on year, and we will continue to improve.

Despite the lack of support from government, we
ensured we have sufficient school places.

Wherever we can, whenever we can, this council
will help people live longer, better, healthy lives.

The people we care for are your parents, your
grandparents, your children and you.

What we will do, with a shrinking budget, is to
support residents with health issues to live as independently as possible.

We will spend what we have – we can’t spend what
we wish we had.

We will always take the decisions, however hard,
in favour of the most vulnerable.

The Tory attack on the north is obvious.

The Destruction of local government by the
Conservatives is intentional.
