Combat Conservatives Casualty Cuts

CONSERVATVE CASUALTY CUTS

Despite pretending to care about the NHS, George Osbourne in order to pay for tax cuts for his rich friends, for hand outs to rich house buyers and to avoid making his corporate friends pay the tax they should, he has put the squeeze on the NHS.

Already under pressure from his ideological re-organisation (that they promised not to do), the cost of even more and more privatisation and the extortion of the drug companies (who use the NHS to pay for their world research) George now wants hospitals to pay for the greed of his Banker Friends who crashed the economy.

Around the country Hospitals, especially A&E departments are threatened with closure to meet Conservative "savings" targets. Here in Huddersfield and Dewsbury our safety is put at threat, all to fund Georges bid to be prime minister.

Yes we know there are pressures, yes we know demand is increasing and that advances in medicine are expensive, but that should not be allowed to detract from the basic need of emergency care, when and where we need it.

We need an ambulance service, manned by trained "first responders" who can start treatment as soon as the arrive at the scene. We accept their "medical" decision to take us to the best hospital that will meet our needs, we will not accept that decisions  based on one private company getting kickbacks from another private company to feed their desire  to profit from our misfortune. A risk we can not discount as the Conservatives pursue privatisation.

We need an A&E department that we can get to, where medical staff can provide the treatment we need. We accept that clinical decisions need to be left to professionals but they need the support and equipment they need to do their job.

We do not accept that we should benefit from cuts elsewhere in the NHS to keep our service local, we believe that all communities need and deserve local health care, we don't want to close Halifax, Wakefield or Pontefract services, we will join their fight for their communities as we hope and expect they will join our fight.

WE MUST MAKE IT CLEAR, SAVING OUR NHS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

WE NEED TO IMPROVE OUR NHS

TOGETHER WE CAN IMPROVE OUR HEALTH SERVICE
