Longcauseway Remembrance Garden extended

Recently the work to extend and upgrade the remembrance garden was completed and opened by the new Bishop of Huddersfield, who dedicated two oak trees, one for the beginning of the first world war and one for the D-Day commemoration.

Cllr Kane said, "I was delighted to see the gardens completed and am very happy with the much larger area for the people who annually commemorate the forgotten hero's of Dewsbury. I am particularly pleased to have secured this investment through Leisure Services who did a fantastic job."
