30 years on - Miners Strike 1984

Diane Robertshaw, who's husband Albert was on strike, with her children Lisa and Anthony and Jack Taylor and David Sheard.

David Sheard says "I can't remember the occasion of this photograph, but remember Diane well, she was very active with the miners wives.

This was the period when the working class were under a planned vicious attack from a government set on exacting revenge at whatever cost. Thatcher, aided by the establishment and press used the Police and Army and a perverted legal system to destroy the mining industry.
