This is open to everyone in Kirklees – adults, young people, disabled people etc.
Cllr Viv Kendrick, Heckmondwike Ward, was pleased to declare, "No bike, no problem – Streetbikes will provide a recycled bike, for you to keep, along with a helmet and a tee-shirt."
What more could you want!
Streetbikes are also training community members to be community bike leaders, so that after the Tour de France, they can set up local community bike clubs. I would love to see a bike club set up in the Heckmondwike area.
Cllr Kendrick concluded: "I would recommend you have a look at the Streetbikes Website for all sorts of events and activities; the chance to have a bike, mechanic training and to get a qualification, plus much more is an opportunity not to be missed."
