I have attended all full council meetings and all but one cabinet meetings.
Training this last year has been more robust than the last few years .The new Strategic planning has done very well this last year members have had training with legal officers and also strategic planning officers.
Licensing has been tightened up due to the Rotherham problem in Kirklees we are working with the city region to get all the councils to work together.
We have had the bus hub opened in spring of this year which has made a big difference.
The music festival was a big success and other events that were organised by the business alliance.
Ward work with Dave and Viv remained steady with planning problems still at the top. Next is the school appeals which has gone up.
We have had the usual problems with travellers cost thousands in court costs and also cleaning up tones of rubbish. We are now paying for boulders and gates to be placed on our open land..
The cuts imposed on us by government are now starting to be noticed by everyone.
It will get a lot worse before it gets better.
