Cllr Shabir Pandor Leader of Kirklees Council congratulates Tracy Brabin MP who has been selected as West Yorkshire Mayoral Candidate. "Tracy will be an excellent candidate and the Mayor of West Yorkshire who will drive the regions investment on the backdrop of the huge inequalities we have seen and Drive the levelling up agenda forward, as Leader gf Kirklees Council I will work hand in glove with her to ensure we get the best deal for Kirklees and our the rest of West Yorkshire.
He also gave commiserations to Susan Hinchliffe, Leader of Bradford Council and Hugh Goulbourne. He stated " I know both of them well and recognize that they were both excellent candidates and capable of this role. They both ran excellent campaigns and are committed to West Yorkshire and will prove to be valuable as we move forward."
