A warm welcome to Calderdale credit union

Calderdale credit union have today opened an office in Kirklees.

Situated at 20 Queen Street in Huddersfield the newly refurbished office is now open for business

Having a new credit union in Kirklees will allow those that either need an alternative to banks, or those who want an alternative to the spivs and charlatans in the city of London, access to low cost loans, and a savings account from a not for profit cooperative.

Having a readily accessible credit union in Kirklees is an important part of the Councils anti poverty strategy. And allows those on modest or low incomes to avoid the pay day loan  sharks, and can help to fund essential household items though affordable loans, rather than people having to use very expensive company's like Bright house or Perfect home to purchase household items.

Of course the credit union is not just for those who wish to borrow money, its also about savers, as they need those that can afford to save to invest with them, so that they can then lend money to those that wish to borrow from them.

Its important that we make this a success so lets all get behind them and get as many people to sign up and become members.
