CONS COULD NOT CARE LESS
A paper adopted by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority demonstrating the need to combat the effects of Low Pay, and suggesting ways to combat them, was viciously attacked by Kirklees Conservatives.
A shock to all the non-conservative members of Kirklees Council was the progression of Tories lining up to attack the paper, their comments included petty arguments on the drafting, nonsensical arguments against the need to combat low pay, and most astonishing plea to protect rich tax payers.
It was no surprise later in the agenda when they once more lined up to demonstrate their extreme right credentials by attempting to justify illegal and immoral practises in the building trade in arguing against a Union motion asking for workforces to be protected.
