Police and Crime Comissioner begins Community Conversations

See the open letter below from Mark Burns-Williamson, West Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, who wants you to tell him what matters to you in your community.

Dear resident

As West Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner I want to work with you all to make sure our communities are safer and feel safer. Starting this week I will be having a ‘community conversation’ with individuals, groups and wider communities across the county, so you can tell me what matters to you in your community, to help shape the delivery of future policing services and how we do what we do.

I would be grateful if you could spare some time to complete a questionnaire to gather your views on some key topics and encourage your colleagues, friends and family to do the same. I want to make sure the Police and Crime Plan, the budget and our actions continue to reflect your priorities and concerns. The questionnaire can be found at the following address:

The closing date for responses is Wednesday 10 December 2014.

Let’s make these decisions together to make sure that all of our communities are safer and feel safer.

Mark Burns-Williamson
