Tories Handle Postal Vote Applications

Before the elections this year the Conservatives "Launched" their fair election pledge, asking for all groups to sign up to the their concocted document. No surprise that the Conservative wannabe MP who edits the Dewsbury Press was Gung Ho for the idea, a bit disappointing that the unbiased newspapers were also taken in.

This was after the Cons had refused to sign the protocol proposed by the Returning Officer that all the other groups on Kirklees signed. At the time we were all at a loss to understand why they refused to sign. We now know, they could not sign, as they were already in breach of the protocol. They had written letters asking people (presumably those they thought would vote for them) to complete application forms that they had partially completed and to send them to the Conservative Party in Birmingham.

They also asked people who they intended to vote for to be sent to the same address, this begs the question, if there was no intention to vote Tory, was the application processed?
