Oakwell Hall awarded £250,000 for revamp

A brilliant story in the local news today.

Oakwell Hall will be given a major revamp after being awarded more than £250,000.

The Elizabethan manor house will improve its visitor facilities thanks to an Arts Council England award.
The £257,289 has been awarded by the Renaissance Strategic Support Fund from Arts Council England for the ‘Growing Oakwell: Beyond the Business Plan’ project.

Cllr Jean Calvert said: “The grant is a great tribute to Oakwell Hall’s long tradition of innovation and creative thinking.”
