Planning in Golcar
This week there are two applications for work to be allowed
on trees, one application for land off Ridings Lane and the other on Vinyard,
both in Golcar. Also in Golcar is the request to vary the permission already
agreed for a detached garage at 20 Townend.
Royd Street Mills are asking permission to install a new roof
and undertaking other repairs as this work is within a conservations area and
Units 3 + 4 are asking to be allowed to keep a portable building on this Morley
Lane site.
One interesting application is for a climbing boulder to be
erected on the grassed and beside Crow Lane School. Climbing boulders are
popular, however the nearest boulders are in Rochdale and Sheffield so this will
be a first for Kirklees.
